are to be replaced with their skylark implementations. This commit updates the WORKSPACE to use the skylark
definitions.
Tested using `bazel build //... --incompatible_remove_native_http_archive --incompatible_remove_native_git_repository`

Tighten type requirements for use of absl::bit_cast. Ideally, the constraints should depend on std::is_trivally_copyable, but a combination of supported configurations and lack of intrinsic support for bit_cast makes this not currently feasible. In a future change we should introduce more proper preprocessor branching and workarounds to better emulate the trait.

For example, this allows you to do run nix-daemon as a non-privileged
user:
eelco$ NIX_STATE_DIR=~/my-nix/nix/var nix-daemon --store ~/my-nix/
The NIX_STATE_DIR is still needed because settings.nixDaemonSocketFile
is not derived from settings.storeUri (and we can't derive it from the
store's state directory because we don't want to open the store in the
parent process).

As proposed in #1634 the `nix search` command could use some
improvements. Initially 0413aeb35d added
some basic sorting behavior using `std::map`, a next step would be an
improvement of the output.
This patch includes the following changes:
* Use `$PAGER` for outputs with `RunPager` from `shared.hh`:
The same behavior is defined for `nix-env --query`, furthermore it
makes searching huge results way easier.
* Simplified result blocks:
The new output is heavily inspired by the output from `nox`, the first
line shows the attribute path and the derivaiton name
(`attribute path (derivation name)`) and the description in the second
line.

Introduces a test which will merge variables defined at every possible
layer together and ensure that the loaded context configuration is as
expected.
The test data provides an actual resource set template that can be
tested locally from a kontemplate source checkout:
kontemplate template context/testdata/merging/context.yaml --var cliVar=cliVar
Changes the logic for merging context values to be unambiguous and
easy to follow.
* loadDefaultVars returns the default vars directly instead of
performing merging in addition
* all merging is performed in `mergeContextValues` using explicit
explanations for every step of the merge.
After this commit the order of merging goes from least to most
"specific", please read the explanatory comments for more information.
This relates to #142.

$PATH-entry) to be used when executing `kubectl`.
This is useful in, for example, OpenShift based setups.

Use ABSL_HAVE_ANY/OPTIONAL/VARIANT to conditionally compile out the definition of absl::bad_any_cast, absl::bad_optional_access, absl::bad_variant_access. This would fix the issues where users #include those header directly in C++17 modes.

We have automated builds at https://hub.docker.com/r/nixos/nix/ now. The master
branch of the "docker" repository is available as "latest". Branches that match
the regular expression "^[0-9.]+$" are pushed to the tag that corresponds to
their branch name. Other branches are ignored.
In some cases the value of a variable may contain an equals sign,
which would not work in the previous version.
This uses `SplitN` to split the variable specifier into a
pre-determined number (2) of sub-slices. Further `=`-symbols will then
be included in the second substring.
