2f0e5303e8 AP MLD: Add a separate MLD level structure
MLD level information like MLD MAC address, next link ID, etc. was
stored in each BSS. However, only the first link BSS assigns values to
these members and the other link BSSs store references to the first BSS.
However, if the first BSS is disabled, the first BSS reference in all
BSS should be updated which is an overhead. Also, this does not seem to
scale.

Instead, a separate MLD level structure can be maintained which can
store all this ML related information. All affiliated link BSSs can keep
reference to this MLD structure.

This commit adds that MLD level structure. However, assigning values to
it and using that instead of BSS level members will be done in
subsequent commits.

259b43a31a hostapd: MLO: Avoid use of mld_id as user configuration
mld_id was provided as a user configuration to identify partner BSS
belonging to the same AP MLD. The same id is used at the protocol level
also to indicate the AP MLD ID of the MLD.

But, in general mld_id is a relative reference of the MLD where 0 is
used as the mld_id to represent the self MLD and in case of MLO MBSSID
mld_id of a non transmitted BSS affiliated to an AP MLD is based on the
relative BSS index of the non transmitted BSS from the transmitted BSS.
Hence mld_id need not be fetched from users, rather it can be identified
wherever required.

To verify if the partners belong to the same AP MLD the interface name
can be checked, since all link BSS partners of the same AP MLD belong to
the same interface.

Hence, remove use of mld_id user config and instead introduce two
functions hostapd_is_ml_partner() and hostapd_get_mld_id(). The former
is used to verify whether partners belong to the same AP MLD and the
latter is used to get the MLD ID of the BSS.

dbcf9ff156 P2P: Notify the IP address of the connected P2P Client
When wpa_supplicant assigns the IP address (WFA EAPOL IP address

7fa99b3246 AP: Allow starting multiple interfaces within single MLD
Add support for including multiple hostapd interfaces in the same AP
MLD, i.e., all using the same underlying driver network interface.

To do so, when a new hostapd interface is added, if there is already
another interface using the same underlying network interface, associate
the new interface with the same private data object, instead of creating
a new one.

As some of the BSSs are non-first BSSs, meaning that they reuse the
drv_priv of the initial BSS, make sure not to double free it.

Currently multiple BSS entries are not supported so always use bss[0]
for MLD.

0837863fbc AP: Handle 6 GHz AP state machine with NO_IR flags
AP cannot come up in channels that are marked as NO_IR. If AP moves to
HAPD_IFACE_DISABLED state, it will deinitialize the nl80211 driver
interface and sockets.

Hence, introduce a new state called HAPD_IFACE_NO_IR, for 6 GHz APs to
handle NO_IR scenarios, such as AFC, where the channels not allowed by
AFC will have HOSTAPD_CHAN_NO_IR flag set. In this state, AP is still
kept in a non-operational state (stopped) without deinitializing the
nl80211 driver interface. wiphy reg change event can then update the
channels and bring up the AP in a valid channel.

c5a09b051a mbssid: Add Non-Inheritance element
Add data per IEEE Std 802.11-2020, 9.4.2.240. Current implementation is

For the Extended rates element, add a new member 'xrates_supported'

af1528a128 hostapd: Add RELOAD_BSS
When using multiple BSSes on a single radio, it is sometimes desirable
to reconfigure one BSS, without disconnecting the stations already
connected to other BSSes on the same radio.

When a BSS is reconfigured using the SET command, there is no "old"
configuration we can compare to (so we cannot compare a hash of the
configuration for example).

One possible solution would be to make the current RELOAD command
reload only the current BSS. However, that could break the workflow of
existing users. Instead, introduce a new RELOAD_BSS command, which
reloads only the current BSS.

7c2cad969a mesh: Fix DFS deinit/init
The hostapd DFS code deinitializes and initializes the AP interface, if
a clean channel switch is not possible. In this case the AP code paths
would deinit the driver, for example nl80211, without wpa_supplicant
code paths getting notice of this.

Therefore add callbacks for wpa_supplicant mesh methods, which are
called on init/deinit of the AP BSS. These callbacks are then used to
handle the reset in the mesh code.

466e48dcd7 HT: Remove SMPS in AP mode
SM Power Save was described in somewhat unclear manner in IEEE Std
802.11n-2009 as far the use of it locally in an AP to save power. That
was clarified in IEEE Std 802.11-2016 to allow only a non-AP STA to use
SMPS while the AP is required to support an associated STA doing so. The
AP itself cannot use SMPS locally and the HT Capability advertisement
for this is not appropriate.

Remove the parts of SMPS support that involve the AP using it locally.
In practice, this reverts the following commits:

ef7217518b hostapd: Add airtime policy configuration support
This adds support to hostapd for configuring airtime policy settings for
stations as they connect to the access point. This is the userspace
component of the airtime policy enforcement system PoliFi described in
this paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/1902.03439

The Linux kernel part has been merged into mac80211 for the 5.1 dev
cycle.

The configuration mechanism has three modes: Static, dynamic and limit.
In static mode, weights can be set in the configuration file for
individual MAC addresses, which will be applied when the configured
stations connect.

In dynamic mode, weights are instead set per BSS, which will be scaled
by the number of active stations on that BSS, achieving the desired
aggregate weighing between the configured BSSes. Limit mode works like
dynamic mode, except that any BSS *not* marked as 'limited' is allowed
to exceed its configured share if a per-station fairness share would
assign more airtime to that BSS. See the paper for details on these
modes.
