There are multiple redundant MIN macro declarations, some of which are
not protecting against side effects. Move it to common.h instead.

The function sha512_compress() has a local variable that consumes 640
bytes. This is very heavy for embedded devices that have limited stack
resources. Handle this by replacing the static allocation with a dynamic
one.

These will be used with the internal TLS implementation to extend hash
algorithm support for new certificates and TLS v1.2.
